Grandma's Visit

Ben's mom, Kandi, came to visit us. Emma, after a day of not-so-suredness, really had a great time with her. They played all day. She took me and Emma out to dinner on Friday night and we lasted all but 15 minutes until Emma had had enough and ended our date. Is there anything more embarrassing than a baby crying in a restaurant full of couples and quiet people. We ate when we got home though and it was really great food.
Saturday Ben, Grandma, and Emma went to the park which is conveniently located just minutes down the street.
Sunday they went to Wheeler Farm. I, unfortunately, had to work both days, but they all had a great time spending time outside.
She left this morning to visit Idaho and then Vegas. She is quite the traveler. Emma misses her already.
Speaking of Emma, she went to the doctor's today because she woke up with a fever yesterday morning and again this morning. She got up three times last night. The doctor said she had a mild ear infection in both ears, and an infected throat and nose. It breaks my heart knowing she is so sick. She's a trooper though. Tonight was rough though. She was just hot and cranky and too tired for her own good. Luckily, she finally fell asleep so I could finish a quiz that was due tonight.
Finals are coming up for me very quickly. Only a few more weeks and I'll be done for this semester.
I got a promotion at work. I am now a Conference Lodging Coordinator. I deal mostly with groups, although I still make quite a few reservations also. There is a lot more responsibility now but it's challenging and rewarding and it comes with a raise ( which is always a plus)!!
Ben got a promotion too. We are hoping now we can get the ball rolling on the purchase of a house. Only time will tell.
Wish us Luck.
Here's to a great, busy, wonderful week!
Cheers!
